Chabad of West Bradenton opened its doors in September 2016 with the goal of building a close knit Jewish community and providing Jewish services to the growing communities of West Bradenton and Anna Maria Island.

Rabbi

Rabbi Zev Steinmetz, born and raised in Sarasota, Florida, studied at rabbinical schools in Paris, New York and Caracas. After completing his studies, he was ordained by leading Rabbis from the US and Canada in 2014.

As an intern Rabbi, he provided educational programs and holiday events for Jewish communities throughout the USA, Asia and Africa. He organized and directed Passover Seders and other Jewish rituals and study groups in Ukraine, Venezuela and Cuba, as well as directing Jewish children's overnight camps in Montreal, Canada and Orlando, Florida.

Rebbetzin

Mrs. Shaina Steinmetz, born and raised in Montreal, Canada, studied at the Beth Rivkah Academy in Montreal, a school specializing in developing future educators. After graduating high school, Shaina traveled to Jerusalem, Israel where she studied and later graduated with a Master's degree in Special Education.

Together Rabbi Zev and Shaina look forward to celebrating our Judaism together and welcoming you to the community, our extended family.
